We are specialized in freshwater algae and work in this field since 1988 in rivers, lakes, ponds etc. and evaluate phytoplankton and periphyton.

Methods:

• Identified to family or genus or species level by inverted microscope

• Evaluation by Delayed Fluorescence (DF)-Kinetic for analysis of the composition of the phytoplankton or periphyton community. The (DF)-Kinetic Photometer use monochromatic light for the excitation to distinguish quantitatively between the photosynthetic activity of green algae, diatoms, blue-green algae and cryptophytes. The advantage over microscopic identification is time (immediate analysis of samples) and cost reduction.
